M. Robinson is known for angst and she definitely brings it as she returns to the world of the Mafia with El Diablo II. Although this could be read as a stand alone novel, Cruz Martinez is the son of the original El Diablo so if you haven't yet read that book, you may want to read it too (And yes! I highly recommend it too!) Alejandro Martinez aka El Diablo faked his death to leave the Mafia world behind over twenty years ago in order to protect his family from that life. Unfortunately, you can't always escape the past and as it comes back with a vengeance, Cruz Martinez doesn't hesitate to step into his father's shoes and take over his throne. El Diablo II is full of angst and suspense, and there are plenty of twists and turns to keep you on the edge of your seat. It's definitely a page-turner and a book that I didn't want to put down yet I didn't want to see it end either. The relationship that develops between Cruz and Sienna is definitely a slow burn...and when they finally truly come together, they combust! El Diablo II is a 5-star must-read!
